At Genesis IT, the safety and well-being of our employees and our customers is always our priority, and we recognize the important role we play in providing our customers with IT support and connectivity solutions during this critical time. We are actively monitoring the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation and taking steps to help keep our communities safe. We wanted to share with you some steps we are taking.

We have Business Continuity Plans to ensure the continuation of services. We are closely monitoring updates from the government and the World Health Organization regarding COVID-19. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies, public health officials and government agencies on an ongoing basis.

At present, the plan for Genesis IT, is to work as a team in the office until Friday, where we will be working to try and get new laptops / devices configured for clients to allow them to work from home, and starting today, any pre booked site visits for the remainder of this week will be honoured, but new site visits will be for emergencies only, for example a site outage or configuring of new devices.

From Monday 23rd March, we will be working from home ourselves, still being able to answer any calls that are made to the office numbers (0845 050 8950 / 01772 282525) and any email enquiries etc. as usual to allow us to provide the same high levels of support that our customers are used to, but again, any required site visits will be for emergencies only.

As our employees interact with customers and the general public, we have taken steps to limit exposure to the virus. We have put restrictions on site visits to be for emergencies only, providing remote-work solutions, and continue to reinforce safe behaviour in every environment – from customer homes and businesses to our offices.  We are partnering with our suppliers to source as much of the required equipment as possible to allow our clients’ businesses to continue as normal as possible but there may be some delays in the supply chain due to the demand.

We are in continuous communication with our employees reminding them about the importance of good hygiene, providing them with support whenever needed. Employees who feel ill have been told to not report to work and we have specific quarantine and communication procedures in place should an employee be diagnosed with COVID-19 or is asked to self-isolate by a public health authority, and to provide comprehensive benefits to support them.

We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and health of our employees, clients and local communities, but we need your help. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms and have a scheduled appointment, please let our staff know so that we can discuss options with you to ensure our collective well-being.
